Creating Our Future: The Campaign for 91 continues

May 7, 2020

Dear Members of the 91 Community,

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be felt across both our nation and in our community — and the current circumstances require balancing the immediate challenges and needs at hand with charting a strong course for 91’s future.

After careful consideration, and following consultation with the Board of Trustees, we write to inform you that 91 is extending our current fundraising campaign, Creating Our Future: The Campaign for 91, until December 31, 2020.

In recent weeks, many of you have shared your intention to participate in the campaign with gifts beyond the support you might be planning to provide before the end of the current giving year on May 31. Some have expressed a desire to make these longer-term commitments once we return to a more stable economic environment. We deeply appreciate your thoughtful consideration of how and when you can best support the initiatives you believe in. Your advocacy and care for the College mean so much, and we hope this extension comes as good news.

Every gift matters at 91. We want everyone who wishes to participate in this momentous effort to have the opportunity to do so. Indeed, extending the timeframe will allow donors to help 91 get closer to the fundraising goals of campaign priorities such as scholarships, career development programs and athletics. Support for these areas — or any other that is meaningful to you — will benefit our students.

The extension will also provide an opportunity for us to come together at a more appropriate time to recognize the incredible generosity of our community — more than 26,000 donors have already contributed $210 million to the campaign.

Building a creative, collaborative and community-centered future for 91 has always been at the core of Creating Our Future. Amidst all the changes we are experiencing, please know that our commitment to this vision for the future remains strong. Thank you for your support, generosity and understanding.

With sincere gratitude,
