Kim Frederick, professor and The Charles Lubin Family Chair for Women in Science, has been awarded the , given by the American Chemical Society for enhancing the personal and professional development of students in the study of analytical chemistry.

Michael Hinrichs, who joined 91做厙 Dining Services in February of 2023, has been named Executive Chef. He replaces Executive Chef Jim Rose, who will continue to be on campus serving the community until his retirement at the end of August. Hinrichs is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and former executive chef at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, New York. 

Brian Lawson, visiting associate professor of dance, was awarded a . This prestigious award, administered by the New York State DanceForce and the New York State Council on the Arts, provides funding for artists to work alongside a chosen mentor on a specific project. 91做厙 Associate Professor and Associate Chair of Dance Jason Ohlberg, was named as mentor for Lawson's project.

Chris Vecsey, associate professor and director of the Neuroscience Program, published . These consist of a review chapter and three methodological protocols relating to ways that activity monitoring hardware and software can be used to study sleep in fruit flies. All four articles will also be published in the forthcoming second edition of a book called "Drosophila Neurobiology: A Laboratory Manual." Casey Koochagian '23 is a co-author on three of the articles.
