Bridge Experience Course Proposal Checklist
ï‚‚ The proposed Bridge Experience course addresses the themes of power, justice and identity.
ï‚‚ The proposed course provides students with the opportunity to examine the themes of power, justice, and identity as they relate to the contemporary United States.
NB: If your course is not exclusively on the contemporary U.S. experience with issues of power, justice, and identity, then specifically identify how and where in your semester you address how the course material will link with these defining features of all Bridge Experience courses.
ï‚‚ The proposed course explains how the Practice/Application activities will help students cultivate this critical understanding of the themes of power, justice, and identity and how they will communicate this understanding to the world beyond the classroom.
NB: If your proposed course delivers the Practice/Application component, or if it only delivers the Practice/Application component, clearly describe the specific activities students will perform to connect their study of power, justice, and identity to other areas of their education and with a broader audience. Please identify who is your intended audience.
Furthermore, in your proposal, you must describe the training/ guidance/ instruction the students will receive to complete successfully the activity or activities, the resources you will need to provide students with this training/ guidance/ instruction (including support from other faculty and staff), and the audience beyond the classroom for the activity.
